Vitamín E – tokoferol

VitamIn E – Tocopherol

Vitamin E belongs to fat-soluble vitamins that are important for venereal functions. Mainly tocopherol is characterized by protective antioxidation effect similar to squalene. It is recommended for some diseases, such as neurologic disorder with muscular asthenopia, mucosa and skin disorders, etc.

Gamma Oryzanol

Gamma Oryzanol

Crude rice bran oil contains about 1,5% or more of gamma-oryzanol, a group of ferulate esters of triterpene alcohols and phytosterols. The high antioxidant property of gamma-oryzanol has been widely recognized. Studies have shown several physiological effects related to gamma-oryzanol and related rice bran oil components. They include its ability to reduce plasma cholesterol (Lichenstein ët al., 1994), reduce cholesterol absorption and decrease early altherosclerosis (Rong et al., 1997), inhibit platelet aggregation (Seetharamaia et al., 1990), and increase fecal bile acid excretion (Seethatamaiah and Chandrasekra, 1990). Oryzanol has also been used to treat nerve imbalance and disorders of menopause (Nakayama et al., 1987).

It is a natural substance of Isoprenoid type that is antecedent in steroid synthesis (stress hormone of suprarenal gland) and important antioxidants such as coenzyme Q10 (ubichinon). Squalene is also a part of ectoplasts where it defines their quality and durability against thermal and chemical damage. Squalene itself has positive antioxidation properties similar to coenzyme Q10 and thanks to these properties it protects range of physical structures against damage by chemicals and radiation. Squalene is one of the most important skin lipid components that influences normal skin metabolism and keeps its positive mechanical properties. Squalene reduces and significantly removes harmful effects of polluted environment on organism. This effect means removing of chronic fatique symptoms of persons living in polluted environment.

Polyphenols belong to the most effective natural substances acting against free radicals that have been ever registered in natural antioxidation compounds. Polyphenols act against virus and bacillus, protect heart and blood circulation against diseases and reportedly also serve as a prevention of cancer. Polyphenols have a positive effect on heart function, digestive system, blood clotting, encourage digestion, improve sight. As a catcher of radicals they have anti-carcinogenic effects. Vegetable polyphenols in our feed (according to the literature the average day consumption is 15 - 25 mg per person per day) are the most important natural feed antioxidants after Vitamin C (its average consumption through feed is 40 - 60 mg per person per day). Active effect of polyphenols in various physiological process is undoubted although it is not explained properly yet. It is based on reduction effect and ability to create chelate bonds with metal ionts. Antioxidation protection of organism is a very important factor acting against rise and development, or optionally as a prevention, of serious diseases such as heart-blood and tumor diseases. In advanced countries there is recommended as high as day consumption of biological antioxidants, mainly of feed ones where polyphenols have a significant role.
